Sean Pa, you probably know that Bob and I are both in our 50s, and neither one of us pretends to have been behind the war in Vietnam. My father was a Marine and I learned early on (1966ish) that the troops were not permitted to win that war.

I personally don't give a tinkers damn if people want to protest the war in Iraq, but as I live and breathe, NO ONE will deface the Wall. I lost too many people of my generation in SE Asia.

Don't like the war? Fine. Just don't deface things. We'll be in DC on the 17th to protect the memory of all those who gave their lives and limbs. Hopefully, there will be more of us than there will of them.

Absolutly right, I struggle to see why anyone would want to do that,utterly moronic.
In fact I would go so far, and speaking as someone who has lost close relatives in conflict, to do serious damage to anyone caught disrespecting war dead.
How can people not see, Its the Politician not the Soldiers at fault.
